RIT Institute Closing Procedures

External Event Client Responsibilities
(Using Government and Community Relations Event Planning Services) It is the responsibility of the external event client to designate a representative to take responsibility for notifying expected attendees of any change in event plans, including, but not limited to: change in event location and notification of an unexpected RIT closing. The client will release the name and contact information for the designated representative in the RIT Event Contract.

College, Divisional, or Department Sponsored Event or RIT Conference Responsibilities
(NOT Using Government and Community Relations Event Planning Services) If the event is being coordinated and arranged by a RIT faculty or staff member, it is the responsibility of the RIT faculty or staff member to notify all outside vendors along with all expected attendees of any change in event plans, including, but not limited to: change in location and notification of an unexpected RIT closing.
