RIT Students Meet Local Professional Mentors

Posted: February 27, 2014

On Thursday, February 20, 2014, RIT Students held an event to meet professional mentors in the Rochester area. We deisgned the event to be fun and informal, as well as a way to get to know potential mentors. We recreated a “Blind Date” game show, and let students ask questions to 3 anonymous mentors and choose whose answers they liked the best. Questions ranged from “What would you do for a klondike bar?” to “If you could design in any historical time period, which would you choose and why?”

Groups of 3 students were paired with groups of 2 mentors, and will meet throughout the year for additional project and professional advice. We had a lot of fun, and are looking foward to furthering these professional relationships!
