OP-D2 Lab

The OP-D2 Lab is equipped with state of the art OPV manufacture and test equipment. Spin-coaters are used for prototypes, manufactured in Dual MBraun MB200MOD Gloveboxes, with introduction and conjoining antechambers connected to an Angstrom Engineering Vacuum Deposition System.  Current -Voltage characterization is performed on a Newport 91192 solar simulator using a Keithley 2400 sourcemeter, all housed within the glovebox for environmental control. Additional device characterization is carried out in the NanoPV laboratories.

Characterization for all new materials is carried out using fluorescence, UV-Vis absorption, time correlated single photon counting and cyclic voltammetry, employing equipment such as a Horiba Jobin-Yvon Fluoromax-P High Performance Research and Analytical Spectrofluorometer/Phosphorimeter with integrating sphere and polarization accessory, a Picoharp300E Stand Alone TCSPC module with 4ps time resolution and a Shimadzu-2401PC spectrophotometer.
