Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) is the industrial laboratory process by which parts or materials or entire systems are examined without impairing their future usefulness. The most common NDI methods are: Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and X-ray. C3R has an extensive understanding of NDI techniques for applications in remanufacturing. For example, C3R staff recently developed a laser-vision technique for inspection of submerged arc welds in heavy gauge large diameter steel tubes. Our staff also has experience in ultrasonic imaging using computer-controlled scanning.
