Research
The NanoPower Research Laboratories (NPRL) at Rochester Institute of Technology are internationally recognized as leading centers for research into the development of nanomaterials for use in improved energy conversion and storage devices. They have developed the capabilities, experience, equipment, and nanotechnology in select focus areas which are critical to advancing renewable energy conversion and storage.
The NanoPower Research Laboratories at RIT have developed a strong heritage of delivering on research programs both at the Federal and State levels, as well as in the private sector. The NPRL has supported several Federal agencies such as NASA, DARPA, and DOE; state programs such as the Center of Excellence in Infotonics, and private companies such as BP Solar, Kodak, and Ohmcraft, Inc. in upstate New York.
