Bioscience Exploration for High Schoolers
Program Highlights
The Center for Bioscience Education and Technology welcomed 34 high schoolers to our Microbiology and Medical Science summer camps. Below are pictures of their activities and comments about their camp experience. We invite you to take a look and send us your comments at cbet@rit.edu.
What campers had to say about their experiences:
This camp increased my interest in microbiology because it was well planned and interesting.
I saw how fun research could be and you can do cool things with bacteria.
DNA separation was pretty cool.
We got to grow bacteria from things of our choice.
I didn’t know what the heck microbiology was before.
I loved the camp. I learned so much from it and had great experiences. I really enjoyed being able to learn more about science. I was very excited because I wouldn't have been able to have many of those experiences if it weren't for this camp.
It was a very enjoyable experience. I particularly liked discussing the physiological aspect of the human body. The experiments and hands on activities were also very fun. Overall it was a wonderful experience that I would definitely consider going to again.
