The Teacher’s Partner

CBET serves to partner with K-12 teachers in two important ways:

Classroom partnership

Through CBET, K-12 teachers may invite RIT faculty into their classrooms for guest lectures and hands-on demonstrations on a wide range of biomedical topics. In addition, teachers may arrange field trips for their students to visit RIT for campus tours or for instruction by university faculty.

Professional Development Partnership

CBET enables educators to stay at the forefront of their fields through ongoing exposure to the latest science, technology and teaching tools. Partnering with CBET, educators may:

• Create exciting new lab exercises
• Develop cutting-edge lecture content
• Incorporate new teaching technologies (animation, hands-on demonstrations)
• Gain continuing education credits
