Description:
RIT's chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, an International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, presents an interactive exhibit to learn about simple machines. Geared towards kids, this exhibit demonstrates the mechanical advantage provided by a lever, wheel, pulley, inclined plane, wedge, and screw. Exhibitors explain the engineering principles behind the machines, then visitors try the machines for themselves to discover how much easier it is to otherwise induce motion when aided by a simple machine.
