Description:
This interactive project showcases 4 different technologies of mapping RIT history, from the Mechanics Institute and Rochester Athenaeum, to RAMI, to RIT Downtown and RIT today. Locating the campus from 1901 to 1929 to 1957 and 2018, each map tracks RIT creativity and innovation in both time and space. Using Google Maps, Arc GIS, CAD 3D printing, and hand craft, students in the Digital Humanities and Social Science program will help you interact with and contribute to the maps.
