Nontraditional Bone Conduction

Exhibit Code: OUT-135
Zone: Science Center
Location: Outside (OUT/000) - Mobius Quad

Description:
This exhibit will be a small demonstration of what bone conduction is. An item, such as a baseball bat, will be used as a transducer for bone conduction. A magnet attached to the bat will vibrate in sync with music through the use of a coil of wire around the magnet. As the bat is applied to the forehead, the user will hear the sound in his or her head as it resonates in their skull.
