Exhibit Code: GOR-117
Zone: Field House
Location: Gordon Field House And Activities Center (GOR/024) - First Floor
Time: All Day
Description:
Have you ever wondered how genetic traits are passed down from one generation to another? Why do you share some characteristics with your siblings, while in others you are completely different? How do you share these characteristics, and more important, what creates these characteristics? The answer is in your genes. Genes are the essential information contained in every cell in your body. In addition to your genes, environmental effects determine your physical characteristics. Join us in a quest to better understand the effects of genes in your body. Learn about the different ways genes are passed down through your family. Help us understand some of the most complex traits in humans, and participate in an experiment to determine how these genes are distributed among our population.
