Plan Your Day
Hollywood Sound Magic for Film and Animation
Exhibit Code: GAN-004
Zone: Artistic Alley
Location: Frank E. Gannett Hall (GAN/007B) - A070
Time: All Day
Description:
The exhibit will demonstrate how movie makers need to constantly create new sounds for movies. How does the house rip off it’s foundation in Pixar’s Up? Does a dog really talk, and how would he sound? When you visit RIT’s mix theater, you will see how sound effects and dialog are created and recorded. These elements are then synchronized with the picture to create a movie. We have the same mixing and recording technology that movies use today.
