Inside the Amazing Microchip
Exhibit Code: ENG-202
Zone: Engineering Park
Location: Engineering Hall (ENG/017) - 2700
Time: All Day
Microchips have a significant impact on just about every aspect of our lives. Learn what's inside the microchip - a small piece of silicon with millions of transistors that is used to control just about everything electronic. You will learn some of the details about the science and engineering that is involved with making microchips and see microscope images of chips that were fabricated in the RIT clean room facility, referred to as the Semiconductor and Microsystems Fabrication Laboratory.
