Ergonomics is the science of matching people, tasks, tools and environment to avoid repetitive strain injuries. Often known as work-related injuries, ergonomic injuries can also develop from what we do at home and can happen to anybody. The exhibit will provide visitors with hands-on experience for an understanding of what ergonomics is and how everyday activities and choices affect our risk for strains, sprains, muscle aches, and pains. Facts and tips will be offered to raise awareness and when a product is advertised as "ergonomic" visitors will be able to know if it truly has ergonomic benefits.
