Description:
The goal of our project was to develop a prototype of a small scale river power harvesting system that can output 50 Watts of power. Our team also worked to identify and develop procedures for quantifying possible ecological impacts of our prototype system on the local river ecology. Visitors will be able to view this system, get an understanding of how it works, and see data in the form of charts and video from placement in the Genesee River. After viewing the full scale system, visitors will be directed to a lab inside for a demo of a prototype.
