Visitors will be exploring biological cladistics and systematics using the imaginary (and fun!) creatures known as Pokemon. In this interactive exhibit, visitors will learn about the relationships between living things and how those relationships change with time, as well as how scientists describe and represent these relationships. A wide range of techniques, problems, and approaches will be discussed as visitors have a chance to resolve their very own Pokemon cladograms. Best of all, visitors will explore the scientific method using Pokemon! A sample of topics include: Cladograms, Trees, Parsimony, Dynamic versus Categorical characters, Outgroups, Stochastic Characters, Scientific Method, and much more!
