Description:
The Levitation of a superconductor is a property that can be viewed when the sample is lowered to a low enough temperature. This temperature is called the critical temperature, Tc for short. The sample that will be brought to its Tc is the compound YBCO, which has an average Tc of about 77K. These samples were made through an independent study at RIT. The samples were made from scratch in the laboratory starting with three different chemicals.
