VHS, tape cassettes, floppy discs - these are all technologies that have gone the way of the dinosaurs. Well our project aims to expand that group with the addition of the optical mouse - one of the few computer technologies still around from when your grandpa was as kid! Having said that what I mean is, it has been a remote,a mouse or a keyboard. What if we say we can throw all that out of the system and replace it with something that you would not have to hold in your hands, put batteries or fight with chords. What if there were no buttons to press but just a flick of your finger tip or just a simple movement of your hand could execute what you intended to. Did you ever think that you could high five to your PC or TV and it responded to you ? Here we propose a system with no strings attached just a device called Leap Motion connected to your setup with a USB cable to interact with applications using our framework for gesture recognition. Our goal is to showcase a next generation 3D (three dimensional) gesture based experience for your personalized ecosystems which does not sit idle when you wave "Hi" to it, which will let you paint the way you describe your doodle in air to your friends. It is a simple,Intuitive and effective way to interact with devices you always use.
