A Message from Interim Director of the Center for Student Innovation, Jon Schull
On August 12, 2011 over 100 Summer Fellows and other students from all disciplines at RIT will be presenting their summer projects to each other, to their mentors, to a distinguished panel of outside judges, and --we hope--to you.
RIT's Student Research and Innovation Symposium is one of the largest and most distinguished events of its kind. For many students, this all-day event is the culmination of a summer spent working full time at the cutting edge for technology and scholarship. For other students it is also a springboard to future research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. For still other participants, it is a chance to glimpse the future and learn more about how RIT helps young minds make significant contributions to research and innovation in Rochester and around the world.
I hope you will join us for this genuinely stimulating and uplifting event, which will include a complimentary lunch and keynote speech by John Resig, a recent alum and renowned internet innovator.
Resig attended RIT's Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences from 2002 to 2005 for a degree in Computer Science, focusing on databases, with concentrations in economics and psychology.
