All international students should plan to arrive to RIT on Friday, August 22, 2008 – official RIT international student check-in day. (International Orientation will take place August 22 – 24 and is required for all F1 and J1 students.) A free van from the Rochester International Airport to RIT will be available on August 22, 2008 from 9am – 5pm.

If you need to arrive before August 22, airport pick-up is not guaranteed, however you may submit your flight information and you will be notified via email if pick-up service is available. If you do not receive a confirmation, you should assume the shuttle is not available and you will need to plan on taking a taxi to a local hotel (approximately $15 - $20 in U.S. currency; credit cards are not usually accepted).

As a reminder, students who have been assigned RIT Campus Housing cannot move in until Friday, August 22nd. If you arrive prior to the 22nd, you must make your own hotel arrangements.

In consideration for RIT allowing me to participate in this service, I agree I will not sue the Releasees and I release the Releasees from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, causes of actions, costs and expenses of any nature whatsoever arising out of any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or to any property belonging to me, arising from the Activity or while upon the premises where the Activity is being conducted, excepting those claims arising from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Releasees. This could include highway accidents, damage in moving personal belongings, weather, or driver error.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorneys’ fees, that Releasees may incur arising from my involvement in this service, excepting those claims arising from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Releasees.

I have read and accept the conditions of the above waiver.
