ITS provides a managed file share environment for RIT faculty and staff. Data stored in this environment is protected against data loss via standard backup procedures. Minimum backup configuration allows for differential backups each night, full backups each week, and retention of data for 30 days. Users may request file restorations via a standard service request with the ITS Service Desk. Any requests for file restores outside the standard 30 day window will be attempted, but treated as best effort.
