Find the remaining warranty coverage
You can find the remaining warranty coverage—whether it’s for the original warranty or the AppleCare extended warranty—for a Macintosh computer in at least two ways:
- Contact AppleCare Higher Education technical support if your computer is owned by Rochester Institute of Technology or is a personally-owned system purchased at an educational discount. You should have your computer’s serial number and/or AppleCare enrollment number (which can be different from the serial number) ready when you call.
- Look up your computer’s serial number on-line, via the Apple Support Web site. The Apple site has information on how to find your serial number.
Apple’s warranty can cover the cost of a Hardware repair if one is needed while the computer is covered.
