Mac OS X Tiger add-ins
Tiger has several new features - Spotlight, Dashboard, and Automator - that provide new opportunities for add-in software. If you would like to expand what you can do with Tiger, check out the following download pages to find new additions:
- Spotlight Plug-ins for new search capabilities
- Dashboard Widgets for quick access to information or games
- Automator Actions and Workflows for new ways you can make your computer work for you, so that, as Apple says, "doing things over and over is over"
RIT cannot review every addition for Spotlight, Dashboard, or Automator. Therefore, you should exercise caution when downloading and installing any of these additions - just as you would for normal software obtained from the Internet. Any of this add-in software has the potential for harm, and should be obtained from a reputable source. You should also avoid running additions that require you to enter an administrator password on your computer - either during installation or normal operation - as this can provide enough access to compromise your computer's security.
