MacTech mailing list
The MacTech list is a discussion list for anyone interested in Macintosh technical issues across campus. Feel free to post questions -- from the basic to fiendishly complex, and hopefully others on campus will be able to provide answers. Relevant news items are also welcome -- but we do not need to duplicate the many great Macintosh Web sites that provide news, such as MacInTouch, MacNN, MacFixIt, and so on.
As always, you should direct regular requests for help or technical support to the ITS HelpDesk. The MacTech mailing list is not a replacement for dedicated support, and questions you send to it are not guaranteed to be answered promptly or at all.

Subscribe
You may have been automatically added to this list based on membership in a past mailing list, memberships at other related mailing lists at RIT, or by mentioning your interest.
You can also subscribe manually:
- Create a new e-mail message.
- Address the message to "listserver@listserver.rit.edu".
- Put "sub mactech" in the body of the message.
- Follow "sub mactech" with your real name, such as "Amy Citizen." Your message will look like:
sub mactech Amy Citizen - Send the message.
Text that you put in the subject line of the message is ignored.
You may also click on this link to create a new e-mail subscription message. Replace "YourFullNameHere" with your real name, and then send the message to subscribe.
Unsubscribe
If you no longer want to receive messages from the list, you may unsubscribe from it:
- Create a new e-mail message.
- Address the message to "listserver@listserver.rit.edu".
- Put "unsub mactech" in the body of the message.
- Follow "unsub mactech" with your real name, such as "Amy Citizen." The body of your message will look like:
unsub mactech Amy Citizen - Send the message.

Send a message to the list
You may send messages to the list by addressing them to: "mactech@listserver.rit.edu". Send questions, comments, news items -- anything related to Macintosh computers at RIT. This is a discussion list, so the more applicable the message is to the entire RIT community, the better.
