Macintosh software installation and upgrade policy

One of the primary services that Information Technology Services (ITS) desktop support offers is software installations and upgrades. It is desktop support's policy that no Macintosh software will be installed onto a computer that doesn't at least meet the minimum hardware requirements outlined by the vendor. If possible, the computer should meet or exceed the suggested specifications outlined by ITS.

We reserve the right to only install software on our supported Mac OS Software list.

Some of these recommendations are listed in various pages for classic Mac OS, Mac OS X, and the ITS Buying Guidelines.
