Virex 6 not enough memory error
McAfee Virex 6 for classic Mac OS may produce a "not enough memory" error when you try to scan your hard disk.

If you see this error in the main Virex window, you should Increase the application preferred memory size.
We suspect that this error is seen primarily on computers with larger hard disks, above 10 GB. When Virex 6 was originally released, hard disks were generally under 20 GB. The last Mac OS 9-bootable computers from Apple allowed much larger hard drives to be installed, and in some cases, actually came with drives in excess of 20 GB.
Whatever the cause, increasing the amount of memory allocated to the program appears to resolve the problem in every case.
