Virex application and control panel both scan at startup

This issue with the past versions of our Mac OS disk image was due to changes in Virex 6.1. It is no longer possible, with Virex 6.1, to have the control panel scan the startup System Folder.

We implemented two schedules in the pre-installed Virex 6.1's Schedule Editor: one that will scan and repair the System Folder at each startup (or at login for Multiple Users systems), and another that will repair the user Documents folder at startup/login.

The next revision of our disk image settings disabled scanning of the startup disk in the Virex control panel, but will keep the scanning schedules in the Virex application. If you are seeing this problem, please contact us so that we can fix it on your computer.
