Additional Screen Shots
Before You Start
- You will need the Office XP CD
- MAPI connections are only available from off-campus when you are connected through VPN (link to VPN). You may also use
Outlook Web Access (OWA) to access your e-mail from the
internet or set up your client with an IMAP connection to access your email.
If specific instructions for your client are not listed you may use the Quick Reference Guide for Exchange Mail:
http://www.rit.edu/its/services/email/setup/setup_exchange_quick_reference.html
- Although Outlook XP allows you to check multiple types of accounts, all in one client, it only allows delivery to one location per profile. If you configure an IMAP account along with an Exchange account in the same profile the e-mail for the IMAP account will be delivered to the Exchange Mailbox. You will have to setup a separate profile for your Exchange account if this is the case. Instructions on setting up profiles are provided later in this section.
