RIT provides free virus protection software for students, staff, faculty and users dialing into RIT from home.
You may download virus protection software for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X computers below. The download links require a valid RIT computer account.
Windows computers
Warning: Please be sure to uninstall any other anti-virus software from your system before installing McAfee VirusScan for Windows.
- VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8 can be installed on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 systems.
- When installation is complete, a VSE icon will appear in your system tray.
Click here to download VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8. Then double-click on the file you downloaded (vsci.exe) to install VirusScan Enterprise VSE 8.8.
