Accreditation

RIT’s College of Engineering prides itself on the quality of its teaching and its rigorous procedures to ensure high standards.All of the college's bachelor of science programs are fully committed to achieving and maintaining national accreditation by ABET (Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology), which is a prerequisite for licensure as a Professional Engineer in many states. In their final quarter of study, all graduating seniors are eligible and encouraged to sit for the Fundamentals of Engineering section of the New York State Professional Engineering examination. The College is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education. All graduating students are eligible and encouraged to sit for the intern engineer portion of the New York State Professional Engineering examination during their final quarter.
