Student Leadership Opportunities with WE@RIT
Each academic quarter several undergraduate students serve as program assistants for the WE@RIT program. They gain experience in teamwork, program design, research, program evaluation, and the planning, organization, and facilitation of meetings and activities. Program assistants are paid positions, available in the form of full-time co-op employment and part-time work study assignments. In addition to these opportunities, there are many volunteer positions available as well. The success of our outreach programs can be attributed to the enthusiastic student volunteers in the College of Engineering.
A new program being launched by WE@RIT will provide yet another opportunity for our female students to take on a leadership role in an outreach program. The Student to Student Recruitment Program (SSRP) will provide training and support to several successful RIT undergraduate female students in the College of Engineering to visit their home school district. They will then meet with advanced math and/or science classes at both the middle school and high school.

This is achieved by partnering with RIT alumni, trustee members, faculty, staff and other successful role models in Rochester businesses, not for profit and government agencies.
All RIT Leadership Institute programs are designed to be interactive, engaging, and fun! There are many types of programs to choose from - Weekend adventures, a leadership certificate program, community service projects, leadership trips, and corporate leadership experiences.
