CQAS 25th Anniversary
The John D. Hromi Center for Quality and Applied Statistics (CQAS) has now been in existence for 25 years. Since its creation in 1983, CQAS has achieved international recognition for excellence in the fields of quality management and applied statistics.
Today the Center is known for its MS degree in Applied Statistics, advanced certificates in Statistical Methods for Product and Process Improvement and in Statistical Quality, as well as training and consulting in Lean Six Sigma, applied statistics, quality management, quality standards and process improvement.
One of the main missions of the Center is to expand and strengthen the graduate program. You can help us achieve this mission, in honor of the 25th Anniversary, by supporting the Hromi (John D. and Rachel E.) Endowed Scholarship. Your support will help provide needed scholarships for deserving students enrolled in CQAS, who by virtue of merit, need, and interest, aspire to a professional career in quality standards and statistical methods.
You can support the Hromi Endowed Scholarship by going to www.rit.edu/makeagift and clicking on the CQAS button.
Please join us as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of CQAS on Friday afternoon, October 17, 2008, with a presentation by Jim Bossert ’81 about “Lean Six Sigma, Past, Present and the Future” and his induction as the first member of the CQAS Academy, our newest recognition of an alumnus/a who has greatly impacted the Center.
