Interpretation of Data with Excel

 

In this hands-on, two-day seminar, you will learn how to interpret and synthesize data from multiple sources and perform concise and actionable analyses. You will also learn how to display data in the most effective way to support your analyses. You will know how to proactively identify business opportunities (e.g., by comparing trend analyses with national surveys). Many business examples are used in this course, including those in manufacturing, insurance, marketing, and market analysis. No prior experience with data analysis is required. 1.4 CEUs.

Who should attend

 

Individuals who currently use Microsoft® Excel for data collection and manipulation. Only basic knowledge of Excel is expected.

Meet your instructor

 

Peter Bajorski, Ph.D., is a CQAS faculty member. Prior to joining RIT, he was performing statistical consulting for a wide range of clients in engineering, finance, and management at the New York State Department of Transportation. He also served as a principal investigator of several applied-research projects. He taught and conducted research at Cornell University, the University of British Columbia, and the Technical University of Wroclaw (Poland).
