CQAS Seminars

Sampling for Products and Processes

The use of sampling as a part of statistical quality control has grown tremendously since the Dodge and Romig Sampling Inspection Tables were first introduced. This seminar presents many of the current methods for acceptance control and their practical applications in industry today.

The seminar emphasizes the relationship of acceptance sampling to process control. During daily lab sessions, participants construct sampling plans and participate in demonstrations of basic probability distributions useful in acceptance sampling. 2.1 CEUs.

Topics include:

  • Basic concepts of probability
  • Single, double, multiple and sequential sampling plans
  • Sampling schemes for attributes (MIL-STD-105E) and for measurements
  • Rectification plans (Dodge-Romig)
  • Continuous, chain and skip-lot plans

How you will benefit:

  • Utilize sampling to reduce inspection activities and augment statistical process control
  • See how to protect the customer while utilizing process control
  • Learn to evaluate the risks inherent in sampling
  • Become familiar with process oriented strategies for sampling
  • Know where, when, and how to implement sampling for product control

Who should attend

Professionals interested in developing products and/or product specifications.

Cost

$895. Includes Dr. Schilling’s book, Acceptance Sampling in Quality Control, as well as continental breakfast and lunch on each day.
