Being successful in the world of engineering is largely a function of knowing how to work with others. That's why programs in the College of Engineering emphasize project-based learning, teamwork, and interaction among students. Your classmates will often be students from engineering disciplines other than your own, and as you collaborate on projects, you'll learn to be creative, flexible, and confident in your critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Multidisciplinary teams are a reality in every industry, and you'll get plenty of exposure to these kinds of teams at RIT.
Student clubs and organizations are central to the social life in the College of Engineering, where friendships are made, evening and weekend activities are planned, and a team spirit is developed. As you study and share experiences with fellow students, you'll discover the rich diversity of people in the College of Engineering, and you'll build relationships that are maintained long after you graduate.
