Digital IC Design Lab

The Digital IC Design Laboratory primarily houses the laboratory teaching for IC Design courses within KGCOE, including CMPE-530/630 Digital IC Design, CMPE-730 Advanced Digital IC Design, and CMPE-731 Design and Test of Multi-core Chips.

The Digital IC Design Laboratory provides 30 workstations, each with an Intel core i5 64-bit 3.00-GHz or higher processor and 16- GB RAM. Supporting these workstations are four Linux tool servers; each server has 32 2.4-GHz AMD Opteron cores with 128-GB RAM. The computers and servers host IC design tools such as Mentor Graphics and Synopsis. In addition, each workstation has the following software:

  • Mentor Graphics Suite
  • Cadence
  • Synopys
  • Xilinx
  • MATLAB
  • Silvaco
