Lab Overview

The Systems Modeling and Optimization Lab provides high-performance computer resources for modeling, analysis, and optimization of complex systems.  The lab provides both space and equipment needed to support these activities.

  • Mathematical Programming and Optimization: Gurobi, AMPL, Knitro, Tora, and Matlab
  • Simulation: ARENA and Simio
  • Design of Experiments and Statistical Analysis: Minitab and R
  • Facilities Planning: Layout-iQ
  • Manufacturing/Engineering Drawing Tools: Solid Works, MasterCAM, and AutoCAD
  • Automation: Labview and Siemens Simatic Step 7
  • Sustainability: SimaPro

Computing Equipment
