Thesis Writing Seminar #6 of 7: A Thesis with Style

Lisa M. Hermsen
Assistant Professor
Language and Literature
Rochester Institute of Technology

Date: Thursday, May 5, 2005
Time: 1:00 - 1:50 pm
Location: Room 09-1149 (Kate Gleason Engineering Building)

Abstract

Your thesis cannot be bound and shelved until it has been edited and proofread. A thesis that is not only finished but polished with style is one that will reflect upon your skills as a writer and communicator as well as an engineer. This session will reveal your advisors' pet grammatical peeves, outline the 10 most common grammatical errors, and offer tips for editing and proofreading your document. No worries - this is not your 5th grade English teacher's "coordinating conjunction" lesson!!!
