Advanced Materials Lab

Location: Advanced Materials Lab

The Advanced Materials Lab is a Recharge Facility that serves the materials characterization needs of the users at RIT and in the local industry. Materials characterization techniques include optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, micro-hardness testing, powder and high-resolution x-ray diffraction. Major users are student and faculty researchers from Microsystems Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Physics, Imaging Science, and the Nano-Power Research Laboratory. The lab is also used in the advanced level “Micro-Nano Characterization” course. Dr. Gupta manages this lab.
