Machine Shop

The ME Machine Shop supports a host of undergraduate and graduate courses in the curriculum, provides indirect support to a number of courses from other departments in KGCOE, supports virtually all graduate research projects in one way or another, and is frequently used by various facilities personnel across campus for infrastructure support projects. The most important role of the Shop is to support the freshman course MECE-104 Engineering Design Tools, and the capstone course sequence Multidisciplinary Senior Design. The Machine Shop is supported by the Operations Manager for the ME Department as well as two other full-time staff. Additional staffing is provided for extended hours by professional, part-time machinists, and a number of specially-trained student assistants. It is, without question, the most heavily utilized laboratory resource in the department. The Shop also coordinates the use of several supplemental spaces as outlined in the next sections to

Note that this list does not include any additional equipment that is listed in the following sub-sections.
