Undergraduate Professional Electives list for Microelectronic Engineering (BS)

The following is a list of pre-approved (by the program) professional elective courses that our undergraduate Microelectronic Engineering students may take. Many courses have pre-requisites. Just because a course is listed here does not mean that pre-requisites can be ignored. Contact individual course instructors for further information on pre-requisites and registration approval.

MCEE-499 Undergraduate Independent Study (form should explicitly state that the independent study is being used as a professional elective).

MCEE-730 Metrology for Failure Analysis and Yield (tentative, not on the schedule yet)

MCEE-704 Physical Modeling of Semiconductor Devices

MCEE-713 Physics of Nanostructures (also listed as EEEE-713 Solid State Physics)

MCEE-770 Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (soon to be changed to MEMS Fabrication)

We also allow selected courses in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Packaging Science and the Center for Quality and Applied Statistics, Micro-Systems, Imaging Science and Science to count as electives in our undergraduate program. Please consult your academic advisor and faculty advisor to discuss your options and then gain approval of the program director.
