Alan Man received his BS degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University; Providence, RI in 2007 and his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2013.  His research interests are in the areas of adult stem cells and tissue engineering, especially for recovery from peripheral nerve injury.  As a graduate student, he was a teaching assistant for many different classes in the Math, Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering Departments.  It was as a teaching assistant for Freshman Calculus and Biotransport Phenomena that he developed a passion for teaching.  Currently, he is a post-doc lecturer teaching Introduction to Biomedical Engineering II and planning on teaching Systems Physiology II in the Fall semester.
