Park & Ride: Creative Robotic Design
Offered Winter Quarter to Girls in Grades 6 - 8
A two-day weekend program to introduce physics and engineering concepts in a fun way, while placing emphasis on basic teamwork, creativity, and design.
Participants work in teams to use Lego® Mindstorm NXT kits to program, design and build creative devices to meet a set of engineering requirements. Engineering students are involved throughout the program developing a strong mentoring relationship. They guide teams to work together so that they can successfully solve the robotic challenges.
