NTID/RIT is seeking literary works about the Deaf experience. THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALL PEOPLE OF ALL AGES! Top winners and honorable mentions will have their works published in a NTID/RIT Literary Works website. |

CATEGORIES:
ASL Literature
Narratives, poetry, Folklore: abc/123 stories, form-driven stories, etc. Drop off video in the on-line submission form or mail DVD. Deaf Literature
Plays, fictional short stories, English poetry, and non-fictional memoir/ narratives. Submit word document of the work in the on-line submission form or mail a hardcopy of the work.
CRITERIA:
Reflect the Deaf experience Be original and exceptional Has not been published before 2006 Unfinished / incomplete work will not be accepted
WINNING WORKS IN EACH CATEGORY:
Will be selected by a group of jurors Will be published on this website Will win a cash prize (1st place - $400, 2nd place $200) Will be announced May 1, 2008
HOW MANY WORKS CAN I SUBMIT? - A total of 2 (regardless of which categories you choose) files. The story or literary content should not be too long. The maximum size for
a file is 5MB. DEADLINE / DUE DATE: Must be submitted on-line or postmarked by March 1, 2008 SUBMIT HOW? There is either of the two ways to submit your works: Fill out an ON-LINE application form. You will upload your work online next step unless your file size is too
large or you have difficulty submitting. The maximum size for uploading a file is 5MB. If you prefer to submit via regular mail -
print the application form, complete it, and mail it in with your work(s).

Via DVD/CD and/or printed material WITH APPLICATION FORM (downloadable) and postmarked by March 1, 2008 and sent to:
