“Last summer, our photo class went to Niagara Falls to photograph tourists. I waited on a platform overlooking Horseshoe Falls for several hours when I saw Amish tourists begin to filter in. They were wearing these beautiful bright blue shirts and dresses and began to form a line along the railing. I thought, ‘Perfect!’ The shot really came to fruition when the man in the wheelchair—a curious tourist—wheeled up and parked next to one of the Amish men. I snapped a few photos, and was getting ready to leave when the woman in the white shirt walked into my frame. This one ended up being my favorite of that trip.”
