Avni presents on rare collection of Hebrew wood types
The Cary Graphic Arts Collection is preserving a rare collection of Hebrew wood types used by the Jewish-American press at the turn of the 20th century. Shani Avni, the Ismar David Visiting Assistant Curator, presented on the project at TypeWknd in October 2021. Avni’s article, “The typography of Ha-meorer,” was also published in Hebrew in Ha-meorer: A Print Adventure.
