College of Science students author paper on high entropy alloys

RIT students Michael Grant ’20 (chemistry) and Leander Held ’21 (physics), ’21 MS (materials science and engineering) are co-authors of “Integrating atomistic simulations and machine learning to design multi-principal element alloys with superior elastic modulus,” published in the Journal of Materials Research. Pratik Dholabhai of the School of Physics and Astronomy led this collaborative project involving Idaho National Laboratory and University of Utah. The main goal of the work is to design next-generation high entropy alloys for extreme environments.
