Satish Kandlikar is the associate director of RIT's Advanced Fuel Cell Research Laboratory.

He is an expert on flow boiling, critical heat flux, fluid flow and heat transfer in microchannels, contact line heat transfer, bubble dynamics, advanced cooling techniques for microelectronic and high-heat flux devices, fluid flow in micropassages and thermal analysis.

Kandlikar is the chief editor of Handbook of Phase Change: Boiling and Condensation (Taylor and Francis, 1999) and has authored more than 80 conference and journal publications and a chapter in Compact Heat Exchanger.

He holds a bachelor's from Marathwada University, and a master's and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
