Stanley McKenzie is provost emeritus and professor of English at RIT.

He is a nationally recognized expert on the writings and influence of both William Shakespeare and contemporary authors such as Mark Twain and J.R.R. Tolkien. He currently teaches a course entitled Shakespeare: Comedy and History.

McKenzie earned a bachelor's in science and humanities from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1964), a masters in English from University of Rochester (1967) and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Rochester (1971).
