Gabrielle Gaustad currently conducts research exploring the environmental and economic trade‐offs of recycling and resource recovery at end‐of‐life. Specific projects include development of a methodology for a resource recovery hierarchy comparing remanufacturing and recycling, implications of large‐scale solar production and recycling on the Si and Al markets, evaluation of upgrading technologies for improving scrap streams and properly incentivizing collection. Her expertise includes materials recycling strategies and materials science.
